- The Italian sites in the List of the World Cultural Heritage.The Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, institutionally delegated to the preservation of the environmental, artistic and historical heritage , has the office to coordinate the Italian instances to be sent to enter the List. The Ministry itself is warrenter for the UNESCO in the preservation of monuments and sites proposed by the Italian Government.
- The Digicult Report: A roadmap for cultural heritage decision makers. The study, published on the electronic magazine eCulture, edited by Cultural Heritage Unit - DG Information Society, offers a deep analisys of the state of the art of technologies and cultural services for european archives, libraries, and museums. Besides, it highlights the legal and politic context for technological development and offers recommendations on measures to use opportunities.
- The conclusions of the II FORUM on the Cultural Cooperation in Europe are now available. The forum, that with the participation of professionals and political of the sector, has given the occasion for a revision of activities that the European Union has undertaken in the last ten years in the cultural sector, and has offered the possibility to discuss on the future of the European cultural cooperation.
- III Report on Socio-Economic evaluation of Cultural Heritage projects. This report summarises the results of 5 days of work by the evaluation panel commissioned by the Head of Unit D/2 of DG INFSO, Cultural Heritage Applications, responsible for part of Key Action III (Multimedia Content and Tools). The panel was asked to assess the socio-economic aspects of all proposals made within the scope of the D2 unit and as part of the Information Society Technologies Thematic Programme.
