The call for proposals for 2006 has been published in the Official Journal OJ C n.172/14 on 12.07.2005.

This call deals with the General Objectives for Culture 2000 and points a particular attention on the Cultural Heritage Sectors for project activities, which reflect the spirit of these objectives.

For 2006 funding will be given to:

  • Annual projects. Culture 2000 Programme provides support in the field of music and performing arts, cultural heritage, plastic and visual arts, literature and books and translation.
  • Multi-annual projects. Culture 2000 Programme provides support in the field of music and performing arts, cultural heritage, plastic and visual arts and literature and books.

The total budget for projects supported under this call for proposals is approximately EUR 28 million.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS

Eligible candidates are public and private organisations with legal status, whose main activity lies in the cultural sphere.

Applications may be submitted by organisations established in one of the following countries:

  • the 25 countries of the European Union;
  • the three EEA/EFTA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway);
  • the acceding countries Bulgaria and Romania; the candidate country Turkey.

DEADLINES FOR SUBMISSION

Applications must be sent to the Commission no later than:
17 October 2005 for annual and translation projects, 28 October 2005 for multi-annual projects.

The projects have to start before 15 November 2006.
