Call for proposals under the multiannual Community Programme on promoting safer use of the Internet and new online technologies (Safer Internet plus). Deadline 28th May 2008.
- Safer Internet Programme (2009 - 2013)
On 27 February 2008 the Commission adopted a proposal for a new Safer Internet programme. Safer Internet 2009-2013 builds upon the successful Safer Internet plus programme started in 2005 and will have a budget of €55 million. Encompassing recent communications services from the web 2.0, such as social networking, the new programme will fight not only illegal content but also harmful conduct such as grooming and bullying. A new action will aim to build up the knowledge base.
- Planned call for proposals 2008
A new call for proposals will be launched under the Safer Internet plus programme in 2008. The provisional date for publication is March. The provisional deadline for receipt of proposals is 28 May 2008.
- Safer Internet Plus call for Proposals 2007
A new Call for proposals will be launched under the Safer Internet plus programme in 2007. The provisional date for publication is during the month of July. The provisional deadline for receipt of proposals is 22 October 2007.
- Safer Internet plus - Work Programme and Call for Proposals 2006 published
A new call for proposals for the Safer Internet plus programme has been launched in 2006. The Work Programme 2006 and the call for proposals are now online. The deadline for receipt of proposals will be 29 September 2006.
- 7 February 2006 Safer Internet Day
The Safer Internet Day takes place across Europe and world-wide on 7 February 2006 under the patronage of Commissioner for Information Society and Media Viviane Reding. Among the host of events taking place, Insafe, the EU network for internet safety awareness, will organise a global “blogathon”.
A wide range of organisations active in promoting internet safety and special guests will post entries on the blog through the day and invite comments from visitors. The blog, with content in several languages, will have a geographical focus that moves west through the global time zones, from New Zealand to Argentina.
- The Safer Internet plus programme aims to promote safer use of the Internet and new online technologies, particularly for children, and to fight against illegal content and content unwanted by the end-user, as part of a coherent approach by the European Union. The present call is open for proposals for projects addressing the following areas: fighting against illegal content, tackling unwanted and harmful content, promoting a safer environment, awareness-raising. It was published in the Official Journal of the European Union OJ C233/8 of 10/09/2005.The indicative community budget for this call is 9.3 million Euro and it will close on 24 November 2005, at 17:00 hours Luxembourg time.
